Message from Elane & Sophie.

We don’t want to have a go at some of you guys, but we’re going to have to, a couple years ago we came up with the idea to have a ‘team jonas’ awards, and EVERYONE was extremely excited about it, always checking up to see what was happening with the awards, questions were constantly being asked, as soon as each stage was up, everyone had viewed it and had straight away sent in their emails, and throughout the awards the TJUK family felt loved, together and happy. Although we started off really close, it’s clear that a lot of us have changed over the years, began to like new things, talk to new people, have new experiences and that’s fine but once a year, for a couple of weeks we try to bring this original family back together, to feel the love that we all felt 2 years ago and it’s been a HUGE success in the past.

But it’s clear that this year things have changed, instead of the awards being 2 weeks it’s taken us a month because we keep on having to extend deadlines because no one can generally be bothered to participate, we can’t do these awards with 10 people and we shouldn’t have to. We understand if you’ve been on holiday or have been busy working etc, but to just not take any care in the awards is just making us feel like we’re wasting our time, we shouldn’t have to keep reminding everyone about the awards, but even when we do a lot of people still choose to ignore it, we’re not blind, we can see you online, we read your tweets. Whenever I see anyone tweet about TJUK I’m instantly in on it, reading the conversation, seeing what’s going on and wanting to be part of it, but it seems that I’m one of the many few who still do that. 

It’s a shame that we’ve had to cancel, especially as this is one of the last stages of the awards, but we have over 30 people who have signed up to do the awards and in over a week only 6 people have bothered to send in their votes, a in this time we have posted/tweeted about it on many occasions,  and in past years doing the voting has always come off as the most popular part of the awards. We cannot do this with a few people, it’s impossible, and not only that we shouldn’t have to do it with a few people, we have put SO much time and effort into sorting these awards out and it’s just been thrown back in our faces when no one is interested.

Thanks to the few people who do care, who have checked on updates, who have sent in their emails and who have generally been excited for the awards, we’re sorry we wasted your time.

Nominations for the Team Jonas Awards 2011 are offically OPEN! Myself (Sophie) and Elane have gone through all the category suggestions we received (Thank you the few of you who made the effort to do this!) and picked the top suggestions. Here are the rules and additional information for the nominations: Do not nominate more than ONE person for each award and only pick people who have entered (The list of people are under these rules) You should nominate in every category, so it is fair You have until Sunday 28th August to send your nominations to teamjonasuk2011@hotmail.co.uk (That’s just over a week to do this, which is a lot of time!) This year we will not be doing awards such as ‘Person who has met the Jonas Brothers the most’ as these awards are based around facts rather than opinions. Also try to stay away from suggestion categories such as ‘Bitchiest member’ as in previous years no one has nominated anyone for them. .
